First Lady Doris L. Yates has served the El Bethel Primitive Baptist Church family in Mobile, Alabama, for more than five decades. El Bethel honors her as the longest-serving First Lady in Mobile. Her faithful presence continues to inspire generations.

Her story deserves recognition in its own right. Alongside her role in the church, Doris Yates devoted approximately four decades to the work of education. Her enduring commitment to faith and service forms a meaningful part of the church family's history.

In 2023, El Bethel honored Lady Doris L. Yates alongside Dr. Jonathan L. Yates and their family during the church's 50th Jubilee Gospel Celebration, a public recognition of decades of ministry.
